 s again with Visit Alexandria for the free\, two-day event.\n\nThe 45th An
 nual Alexandria Jazz Fest will open the weekend festivities at Waterfront 
 Park on Friday\, June 16\, from 6 to 9 p.m. with three renowned performanc
 e groups accented by readings from some of Alexandria's poets between sets
  and a live mural painting throughout the evening.\n\nThe free\, two-day P
 ortside in Old Town Festival continues Saturday\, June 17\, from 1 to 9 p.
 m. with an array of live music\, local craft beer from Port City Brewing C
 ompany and fun for the whole family with hands-on art and history activiti
