Today the Fr iendship Firehouse\, built in 1855\, is a museum open to the public. The F estival will be the last opportunity to see Friendship's 1851 hand-operate d suction engine - elaborately decorated with the company's clasped-hands insignia - before it is sent for conservation treatment. The restoration i s possible thanks to the generous support of the Friendship Veterans Fire Engine Association\, Alexandria Association\, Historic Alexandria Foundati on\, and many individual donors. \nFriendship's newly restored 1858 hose- reel carriage will also be on exhibit. Ms. T isara photographed worship in many different churches\, as well as synagog ues and a home where Buddhist monks lived and worshipped. There were no mo sques within the city\, so none were available to be included. Nina Tisara sought to document "the breadth\, variety\, and vitality of worship in th e city."
