ghlight the stories of notable African American figures\, demonstrating t
hat African American history is America's history. \n\nThe first two film
s are presented by Robin Hamilton who wrote and produced This Little Ligh
t of Mine: The Legacy of Fannie Lou Hamer about Civil Rights activist Fan
nie Lou Hamer\, and Dignity and Defiance: A Portrait of Mary Church Terre
ll about the 19th century crusader against racial injustice. The second f
ilm also highlights the need to preserve Terrell's former home in Washing
ton\, DC\, which is at risk of demolition due its dilapidated state. \n\n
Documentary filmmakers Hannay Ayers and Lance Warren are also presenting
two films. An Outrage\, released in 2017\, discusses lynching in the Amer
ican South. Their second film\, The Hail-Storm: John Dabney in Virginia\,
highlights the forgotten story of a celebrated 19th century African Amer
