Girls will use the collecti on of the Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum alongside modern advertisi ng to examine types of media\, persuasion techniques\, and stereotypes. Then\, using their new media savvy\, they'll take action and create a Pub lic Service Announcement to get the real message out about girls' health and/or beauty. By the end of the overnight\, girls will have completed all of the steps for the It's Your Story-Tell It: Media leadership journe y for Cadette Girl Scouts. \n\n \n\nCadette Girl Scout Troops will check in at Gadsby's Tavern Museum to drop off their sleeping bags and meet th eir museum leader before heading over to the Apothecary Museum (approx. 2 blocks away). While the project will be completed at the Stabler-Leadbe ater Apothecary Museum\, girls and chaperones will be spending the night at the Tavern due to space. Overnight includes an evening snack and ligh t breakfast. Please\, no tag-alongs for this event. We can accommodate male chaperones with prior notice. Cost is $20 per adult and $30 per gir l. All overnights begin at 7pm on Friday evening and end at 8:30am Satur day morning. Groups are responsible for following Safety Wise requiremen ts of the Girl Scouts and taking care of their own permission slips. Act ivity patch is available for purchase. Troop leaders are responsible for buying the Girl Scout award separately. \n\n \n\nThis overnight runs co ncurrently with a Junior Girl Scout overnight.
