 irefighting in early Alexandria\, including the five volunteer fire compa
 nies\, three major fires\, and how firefighting was affected by the Civil
  War.  The tour begins at the historic Friendship Firehouse\, goes east o
 n Prince Street\, and returns to Friendship via King Street. Advance rese
 rvations are required\, as space is limited. Tickets are $6.00 for adults
  and $4.00 for youth ages 10 to 17.  (The tour will not interest small ch
