 s holding its annual event in memory of Benjamin Thomas\, a Black Alexand
 ria teen lynched 125 years ago.\n\nTo acknowledge this aspect of our hist
 ory as we work toward creating a more inclusive community\, the Alexandri
 a Community Remembrance Project has invited Rachel Laser to speak about a
 ttempts to stifle the teaching of our shared history\, book bans and disi
 nformation that stokes fear about race in our public schools. She will be
  presenting "Why the 'Parental Rights' Movement Is Anti-Civil Rights."\n\
 nPlease join us for an hour-long program of music\, memory and learning.\
 n\nEvent will be at Shiloh Baptist Worship Center at 1401 Jamieson Avenue
  (across the street from the historic Shiloh church building). Doors open

 min Thomas\, a Black Alexandria teen lynched 125 years ago.\n<br />\n<br 
 />To acknowledge this aspect of our history as we work toward creating a 
 more inclusive community\, the Alexandria Community Remembrance Project h
 as invited Rachel Laser to speak about attempts to stifle the teaching of
  our shared history\, book bans and disinformation that stokes fear about
  race in our public schools. She will be presenting ?Why the ?Parental Ri
 ghts? Movement Is Anti-Civil Rights.?\n<br />\n<br />Please join us for a
 n hour-long program of music\, memory and learning.\n<br />\n<br />Event 
 will be at Shiloh Baptist Worship Center at 1401 Jamieson Avenue (across 
 the street from the historic Shiloh church building). Doors open at 6:15 
 p.m. and program begins at 6:30 p.m.\n<br />\n<br />This is a secular pro
 gram being held in a worship center due to its historical connection and 
 importance to the story of Benjamin Thomas\, who was lynched in Alexandri
