, including those prescribed by veterinarians\, and over-the-counter medi
cations during National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday\, Oct
ober 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.\n\nAs part of the Drug Enforcement Agency'
s National Drug Take Back Day\, the Alexandria Police Department\, Alexan
dria Sheriff's Office\, and Alexandria Health Department\, with cooperati
on from the Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition of Alexandria\, are staf
fing multiple drop-off locations for safe medication disposal.\n\nDrop of
f unused or expired medication at the following locations:\n\n- Alexandri
a Police Headquarters (3600 Wheeler Ave.)\n- Alexandria Fire Station 210
(5255 Eisenhower Ave.)\n- The Neighborhood Pharmacy of Del Ray (2204 Mt.
Vernon Ave.)\n- Walgreens Pharmacy (3614 King St.)\n\nNo needles are acce
