 ed by period clothing experts presenting instructions for creating a Fede
 ral/Regency period gown perfect for the Birthnight or Jane Austen Balls. 
 \n\nThe workshops will focus on custom-fitting the basic gown and working
  with sheer\, silky\, and gauzy fabrics. Before the workshop begins\, ins
 tructors will provide advice on fashionable styles and fabrics for the pe
 riod and sources for appropriate patterns and materials.  Students are re
 sponsible for purchasing their own fabric\, pattern\, and supplies and br
 inging them to the class!  \n\nSpace is very limited\; registration is re
 quired and will close December 15. \n\nFor the intermediate sewer\, hand 
 stitcher. Students must have made at least one complete garment using a c
 ommercial pattern and have access to a sewing machine at home. Students w
 ill be expected to work at home between classes to complete the gown. \n\
