 ay.  The free 90-minute guided tour will begin at 11 a.m. in the Museum.  
 Reservations are not required.  Attendees will learn about Civil War veter
 ans' organizations\, the history of Fort Ward\, army life in the Civil War
  Defenses of Washington\, and the design and construction of Civil War for
 ts.  Highlights include the reconstructed Officers' Hut and ceremonial ent
 rance gate\, and the  fully restored Northwest bastion.\n\nFort Ward is th
 e best preserved Union fort in the Civil War Defenses of Washington.  The 
 Museum offers exhibits and programs throughout the year.  Fort Ward Museum
