 phic Study of Faith in Alexandria." Visit the exhibition\, meet the artist
 \, Nina Tisara\, and enjoy a glass of wine and light refreshments. The rec
 eption is free\, but please RSVP here by August 23. The exhibition feature
 s 106 black-and-white images taken in 1985 by photographer Nina Tisara doc
 umenting fifty worship groups throughout the City of Alexandria. The image
 s provide a portrait of Alexandria's worship community at that time. Ms. T
 isara photographed worship in many different churches\, as well as synagog
 ues and a home where Buddhist monks lived and worshipped. There were no mo
 sques within the city\, so none were available to be included. Nina Tisara
  sought to document "the breadth\, variety\, and vitality of worship in th
 e city." She came to call her project Converging Paths because the experie
 nce led her to conclude that\, despite the many different paths worship ta
