 gton Balalaika Society was founded in 1988 by a group of Washington-area m
 usicians interested in studying and performing the music of Russia\, Ukrai
 ne and Eastern Europe on traditional folk instruments\, the balalaika\, do
 mra\, bayan\, and related folk wind and percussion instruments. WBS has gr
 own into the largest Russian Folk Orchestra in the United States and the o
 ldest in the Washington\, DC area. Ages of the musicians run from pre-teen
 s to the nineties. WBS hopes to resume our regular concert schedule in 202
