 in Alexandria. Built as part of the Lanham Act of WWII\, Chinquapin Villag
 e\, Ramsey Homes\, and Cameron Valley provided quarters for war workers\, 
 veterans\, and service personnel and their families. This housing and the 
 families who lived there transformed Alexandria.\n\nThis lecture is presen
 ted in partnership with the Alexandria Historical Society (AHS). AHS membe
