 ily to First Friday: "Taste of Cinco de Mayo" at the Durant Arts Center\, 
 1605 Cameron St. on Friday\, May 5.  The evening will be showcase Mexican 
 music\, food and dance.  Mexican culinary delights start your evening spon
 sored by local restaurants. \n\nMeet and Greet begins at 6 p.m.  Beginning
  at 6\;30 p.m.\, the "S?nale" for Son Jarocho Alexandria group will kick-o
 ff the festivities with traditional rural music of Veracruz in the Golf re
 gion of Mexico.  The Quetzales Mexican Dance Ensemble\, Northern Virginia'
 s premier Mexican folkloric performing company will provide a spectacular 
 60 minute performance beginning at 7:30 p.m.  Ocho de Bastos\, a Latin jaz
 z band will culminate the evening's festivities and get you on your feet w
 ith the Latin beat.  \n\nThe "Taste of Cinco de Mayo" is part of the "Firs
 t Fridays" Series.   The Series is a project of the Office of the Arts\, a
  division of the Department of Recreation\, Parks and Cultural Activities.
