The event will feature a collection of a ntique fire equipment and\, courtesy of the Alexandria Fire Department\, a display of modern fire trucks and apparatus. The Alexandria Red Cross and the Community Emergency Response Team will also be on hand. Other attract ions include craft booths\, food vendors and free birthday cake which will be served at 11 a.m. \n\nIn addition to the day's outdoor events\, festi val participants will be able to experience the history of the Fire Compan y through a tour of the Friendship Firehouse Museum. The building was ori ginally built as a firehouse in 1855\, remodeled in 1871 and restored agai n in 1992 before undergoing roof and cupola repairs several years ago. The re will be a variety of exhibitors of interest to all ages\, food and dri nks\, plus the firehouse museum will be open for all to see and appreciate our forefathers efforts to protect Alexandria from fire in the 18th centu ry. Be sure to see the old hose reel\, as well as the suction pumper fire engine\, both pulled by hand.
