 work of two award winning studios in Washington\, DC and Richmond\, Virgin
 ia. These directors highlight the stories of notable African American figu
 res\, demonstrating that African American history is America's history. \n
 \nThe first two films are presented by Robin Hamilton who wrote and produc
 ed This Little Light of Mine: The Legacy of Fannie Lou Hamer about Civil R
 ights activist Fannie Lou Hamer\, and Dignity and Defiance: A Portrait of 
 Mary Church Terrell about the 19th century crusader against racial injusti
 ce. The second film also highlights the need to preserve Terrell's former 
 home in Washington\, DC\, which is at risk of demolition due its dilapidat
 ed state. \n\nDocumentary filmmakers Hannay Ayers and Lance Warren are als
 o presenting two films. An Outrage\, released in 2017\, discusses lynching
  in the American South. Their second film\, The Hail-Storm: John Dabney in
  Virginia\, highlights the forgotten story of a celebrated 19th century Af
