Join us for two concerts on the Magnolia Terrace in the gardens of Carlyle House for "A Jazzy June!" On Thursday\, June 18th from 6-8pm\, DuPont Brass\, a local group from Howard University will be perfor ming. This energetic and youthful group of musicians is self-described as "a new\, innovative brass band." The concert on the 18th takes place on th e eve of "Juneteenth\," one of the oldest celebrations commemorating the e nd of slavery in the United States. \n\nThis event is co-sponsored by Carl yle House (NOVA Parks) and Alexandria's Black History Museum (Office of Hi storic Alexandria).
