This talk by Dr. Peter Henriques will examine the "tougher" side of George Washington and how this aspect of his personality was essential to his remarkable success as a leader. He was n ot a man to be trifled with. The talk will also focus on the tension that General Washington felt between justice and mercy and how he sought to res olve it.
