This program explores the modernization of the Blues and its influence upon Jazz\, Gospel\, Rhythm & Blues\, Rock & Roll\, Soul \, Soul Blues\, and other related music genre. David B. Cole\, musician an d educator\, entertains with this signature-style\, American music while h e informs listeners about its immergence and progression.\n\nCole is a nat ive Washingtonian\, and he shares his expertise and love of the Blues by c ombining his guitar music with engaging vocals. His talents as a musician and educator elevate the Blues as one of America's great cultural treasure s. His most recently-released CD is "Urban Blues."\n\n"He's a musician's m usician\," says saxophonist and educator Davey Yarborough\, who praises Co le's "attention to stylistic detail." Paul Carr\, a master of the sax says of Cole\, "There's a whole party goin' on inside his guitar case." \n\nDa vid Cole is currently a member of the Main Street Blues as well as the Cap ital All-Stars\, the big band led by the legendary Bobby Felder.
