Attend o ur 3-session workshop led by Jane Pease\, local period clothing expert\, p resenting instructions for creating a Federal/Regency period gown perfect for the Birthnight or Jane Austen Balls. \n\nThe workshops will focus on c ustom-fitting the basic gown and working with sheer\, silky\, and gauzy fa brics. Before the workshop begins\, instructors will provide advice on fas hionable styles and fabrics for the period and specify suitable patterns a nd materials. Students are responsible for purchasing their own fabric\, pattern\, and supplies and bringing them to the class. \n\nSpace is very limited\; registration is required and will close December 15. \n\nFor the intermediate sewer\, hand stitcher. Students must have made at least one complete garment using a commercial pattern and have access to a sewing ma chine at home.
