Alexandria City Hall is located between King and Cameron Streets and between N. Royal and N. Fairfax Streets
Event Details:This year's theme for the Poster Exhibition is "The Journey to be Free: Alexandria's Contrabands and Freedmen Cemetery Memorial." Thousands of escaped slaves (Contrabands) fled to Alexandria during the Civil War. Their journey toward freedom and a better life is one aspect of a universal desire for independence. The 2015 theme highlights both historic and contemporary journeys to be free.

A Program will be held in Council Chambers, on the second floor, from 1:00 to 2:15 pm, followed by a reception in the Vola Lawson Lobby. Suggested Arrival Time is 12:45 pm.
