Event Details:During Black History Month, discover your own family’s history! Genealogist Char McCargo Bah, who specializes in the challenges of African American family history, will conduct “Using Oral History, Censuses and Vital Statistics to Start Your Research,” an introductory genealogy program for beginners. This lecture will introduce key techniques in obtaining oral history from family members and participants will learn how to use these techniques to obtain census and vital statistic information. Reservations recommended. $5 admission.
