Performers’ bios:
Tom Seaton has been playing the guitar for over 40 years, and has played at congregations, coffee houses and other venues in southern Maryland during the past two decades. His focus is classical music from the renaissance period to the present, but also enjoys playing jazz and other contemporary styles. Tom has lived with his wife and two children in the Accokeek, Maryland area since 1992.
Kevin Kirby has been playing music and teasing various fingerboards since grade school, getting his formal start on Viola a few decades ago with the Tucson Junior Strings. Time in the US Navy expanded both his instruments of choice and his exposure to more traditional folk music styles, including bluegrass, Celtic and folk. He currently plays with Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic and keeps his foot in several local groups, including The Shrinemonters, the Irish Breakfast Band, and the Gretchen Purser trio. In addition to playing viola, Kevin has been known to worry notes out of other stringed instruments, including mandola, guitar, banjo and hammered dulcimer.
