Event Details:FindingThingsforU, LLC has a treat for you. May is “Older Americans Month” and the 2015 theme is “Get into the Act!” In collaboration with the Alexandria Black History Museum, we have invited two speakers, knowledgeable on a variety of Social Security issues to lecture on Social Security Benefits and eligibility, and how to access other benefits connected to Social Security. Our Speakers will provide you with useful and practical information.
Char McCargo Bah is the CEO/Owner of FindingThingsforU, LLC. A genealogist since 1981, she is sought after for her expertise, having been interviewed for numerous television shows and documentaries, including those produced for CBS, FOX-5, Comcast, and PBS. She has also received numerous awards for her work and was named a Living Legend in Alexandria, Virginia in 2014. Ms. Bah served as the official genealogist for the Office of Historic Alexandria’s work in identifying descendants of those buried at the City’s Contrabands and Freedmen Cemetery Memorial. She is one of the co-authors of African Americans of Alexandria, Virginia: Beacons of Light in the Twentieth Century.
