Event Details:The City of Alexandria invites members of the public to attend the fourth Green Building Workshop. This workshop is devoted entirely to historic buildings and ways to improve energy efficiency without compromising the historic fabric. Representatives from the local green building movement will be there, highlighting some of Alexandria’s “green” preservation projects, as well as the National Trust for Historic Preservation, who will highlight how the two – green building and historic preservation – can go hand-in-hand. Also, you’ll learn about some of the inherent environmentally friendly aspects of historic properties and how to make historic properties even more energy efficient. Participants are encouraged to RSVP by e-mail to Stephanie.Sample@alexandriava.gov.
