Dominion Virginia Power Begins Electric Vehicle Charging Pilot Program

Electric vehicles on Virginia roads may be becoming more a reality than a prospect for the future.  Dominion Virginia Power announced Monday the beginning of a three (3) year pilot program to both test how customers charge their electric vehicles and to support Virginia’s growing electric vehicle market.  Dominion will offer special pricing plans for those customers charging their electric vehicles at their households overnight during off-peak periods.

For more information, visit Dominion Virginia Power’s Electric Vehicle website.

As Virginians move towards operating more electric vehicles on the roadway, we are collectively making strides towards reducing the state’s greenhouse gas emissions, reducing dependence on foreign fossil fuel resources, and making an investment in America’s growing clean energy economy.

What a way to put Eco-City Alexandria on the map - an electric vehicle charging point in the car park under Market Square with a Wayfaring Sign proudly announcing it.
